Hair loss can look different for everyone. For some, it’s a slow thinning around the part. Others notice more shedding in the shower, or regrowth that feels weaker than before. Whatever the trigger – stress, hormones, age – the impact is often personal.

At inglow aesthetics, we offer a treatment designed to help restore balance and support the scalp’s natural renewal process: Microneedling with Dermaheal HL. It’s not a miracle cure – but for the right person, it can be a powerful tool in a broader hair care strategy.

This treatment uses a fine-needle device (we use Dr.Pen) to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the scalp. These points stimulate local blood flow, signal repair processes, and help deliver active ingredients deeper into the skin. Before the microneedling process, we apply Dermaheal HL, a professional serum rich in biomimetic peptides, vitamins, amino acids, and growth factors. As the microneedling begins, the serum is gently pushed into the scalp, increasing its effectiveness.

Together, this combination helps nourish the hair follicles, improve circulation, and activate a healthier scalp environment. Over time, this can support thicker, stronger, and more resilient hair – but only when the scalp is ready for it.

Microneedling for hair regrowth is most effective in the early stages of hair thinning or as a preventative measure. It’s especially suitable for men and women with active hair follicles experiencing stress-related shedding, hormonal hair loss (such as postpartum or PCOS-related), or reduced density due to poor circulation. It can also help clients who experience weak or slow regrowth after illness, fatigue, or seasonal shifts.

That said, this treatment is not intended for cases of advanced baldness or areas where follicles are already scarred or inactive. Its strength lies in supporting what’s still present — not reversing what’s gone.

Despite being minimally invasive, microneedling is not suitable for everyone. We do not recommend it for clients with active scalp conditions such as eczema, open wounds, infections, or psoriasis. It’s also contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and for those with bleeding disorders, keloid scarring tendencies, or extremely reactive skin. As with any targeted treatment, a proper consultation is always the first step to determine suitability and create a safe, personalized plan.

One treatment – no matter how advanced – won’t fix the entire picture. Microneedling is most powerful as part of a system. To see real, sustainable results, we encourage our clients to think of it as a boost, not a cure. It stimulates potential, but that potential must be supported elsewhere.

If your body is depleted or out of balance, results will be limited. That’s why we always recommend clients check for underlying deficiencies – such as iron, vitamin D, thyroid imbalances, or androgens – with professional testing. Hormonal and nutritional support is a critical part of any effective hair regrowth plan.

Daily self-care also makes a difference. Scalp massage can significantly improve microcirculation and amplify the effects of the treatment. Even just 5 minutes a day can support oxygen flow, follicle health, and product absorption between visits.

How to extend results at home

Professional care only works when home care continues the momentum. We recommend a targeted hair routine using professional products designed for the scalp, not just the hair lengths. Recommendations available through our Hair Care collection:

  • MBR Hair & Scalp Booster. A highly active tonic that strengthens the skin barrier, energizes the follicles, and boosts microcirculation. Especially effective post-microneedling or as a standalone treatment in your daily routine.
  • Bioderma Nodé A Soothing Shampoo. A dermatologically tested option for sensitive scalps. Fragrance-free, non-detergent, and ultra-gentle, it cleans without stripping or irritating the skin – perfect for daily or post-procedure use.
  • MBR Hair & Scalp Shampoo + Conditioner. A premium cleansing and conditioning duo that respects the scalp’s natural microbiome. These formulas gently detox the scalp while reinforcing its protective functions — ideal for sensitive, treated, or thinning hair.

What to expect from the treatment process

A typical session lasts around 45 minutes. The procedure is well-tolerated, with most clients experiencing a light tingling sensation and some temporary redness, which fades within hours. There is no real downtime, and most clients return to normal activity the same day. A visible change usually requires multiple sessions.

We generally recommend a course of 4 to 6 treatments, spaced two to three weeks apart, with results often becoming noticeable from the second or third session. Full improvement typically unfolds over several months, depending on your baseline scalp health and home care consistency.

Microneedling with Dermaheal HL doesn’t promise miracles — but it does offer support for one of the most personal beauty concerns we face. At inglow aesthetics, we approach hair loss with honesty and care. Our goal is not only to treat the scalp, but to guide you toward a smarter, more sustainable approach to hair regrowth — one that works from the inside out.
